Stephen Postalakis represents the firm’s clients in a number of ways, including, but not limited to, employment and business litigation, labor arbitration, administrative proceedings before state agencies, and Medicaid state appeal hearings. Mr. Postalakis has successfully represented clients in both state and federal courts in Ohio. Additionally, Mr. Postalakis represents clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, the Department of Labor, and the State Personnel Board of Review. Mr. Postalakis advises clients on wide-ranging issues, such as federal and state non‑discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, the Family and Medical Leave Act, fair housing laws, military leave law, common law, and state and federal statutes pertaining to the employment relationship. While his practice places an emphasis on employment issues under state and federal law, Mr. Postalakis is also well versed in other areas of the law applicable to Ohio governmental agencies, such as levy law, the Public Records Act, and the Open Meetings Act. Mr. Postalakis has served as hearing examiner for the Ohio Barber Board and the Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors.
Mr. Postalakis speaks on governmental and employment law issues annually. In addition to speaking to individual clients, Mr. Postalakis serves as a frequent speaker on behalf of the Ohio Association of County Boards Serving People with Developmental Disabilities. Mr. Postalakis has served as an Adjunct Professor for Capital University, School of Management.
Mr. Postalakis provides training in many areas of the law, including state and federal employment law, compliance with Open Meetings Act and Public Records Act, and Ohio Ethics law.

Labor and Employment law: includes grievance and labor contract administration, mediation, and arbitration; personnel actions involving employees, including discipline, layoffs, benefits, and ethics; and advice to clients in areas of human resources and the alphabet soup of federal laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and USERRA.
Civil litigation: includes defense of employment discrimination and wrongful termination claims; fair housing; enforcement and defense of covenants not to compete; breach of contract; and general business litigation.
Government relations: includes advice and litigation concerning Ohio’s Public Records Act, Ohio’s Open Meetings Act, and general government administration.
Administrative law: includes representation of clients before state and federal agencies; regulatory compliance; and advice related to Ohio levy law.
